The MinkPolice SIM card is the easiest solution to ensure reliable and cost efficient communication with your MP5 MinkPolice module. You don’t need to worry about registration or prepaid credit: just insert the SIM card and your MinkPolice device is ready to go. Our SIM card work europe-wide and are thus also perfectly suitable for border regions. Please note that this SIM card is only suitable for MP5 devices. Should you need to purchase a SIM card for your MP10 device we ask you to contact our customer support.
Please note: Our MinkPolice SIM card requires your MinkPolice device to be a MP5 and have at least firmware version 4.4.0 installed. If your device is older, you can send it in for a firmware update and we will ship it back together with the SIM card. Please read more about this on the bottom of this page.
We charge 10€ + VAT per SIM card and year for unlimited email and push notifications. For subsequent years, you can easily prolong your trap subscription online in your MinkPolice profile. You will receive an email with all necessary information, when a prolongation is due.
It is also possible to receive SMS text messages from this SIM card. Each SMS is charged 0,09€ in addition to the yearly data subscription. If you want to receive SMS, please enable the SMS function in your MinkPolice profile in a browser in the tab “Settings” –> “Notifications”.
As stated above, the MinkPolice SIM card only works in devices which have at least firmware version 4.4.0 installed.
Generally, all “MP5” (printed on the side of your device) devices fulfill this criterion. If you have an older (MP2) device, you have to check your firmware version. Login to your profile, click on the settings of the specific device (“Trap settings”) and you will find the firmware version of that device in the “Info” section. Alternatively, you can always contact our customer support if you are unsure.
If your device has an old firmware version, you have to select “SIM card + Firmware update” above and then send in your devices so we can manually update them. Our address is:

When sending in your device, please refer to the order number of your SIM card purchase. We will then send your updated device back together with your new SIM card.
